Job summary

Hughston seeks a Trauma Advanced Practice Provider in Montgomery, AL to support both ambulatory and inpatient trauma services. The role includes autonomous clinic work, weekend inpatient duties, and collaboration with trauma surgeons. A 10K sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• NCCPA or NP Board Certification required.
• Must maintain BLS certification.
• Current State and DEA Licensure required.
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Irregular work hours may be required depending on needs.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory MVR.

Responsibilities

• Represent Hughston Trauma and maintain professional interactions with patients and staff.
• Assist clinic in ambulatory setting including medication requests and triage.
• Perform minor procedures in ambulatory setting (sutures, staples, debridements, joint aspirations).
• Manage APP clinic weekly with shared responsibility for selected patients.
• Inpatient duties one weekend per month (rounding, consultations, surgery assistance).
• Document comprehensive hospital-based examinations in inpatient rotation.
• Coordinate care with APP colleagues for care coordination.
• Work autonomously within scope of practice in ambulatory and hospital settings.
• Facilitate transition of care from inpatient to outpatient and post-discharge education.
