Job summary

Salem Health Surgical Specialty Clinic in Salem, OR seeks a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to support the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery program full-time. You will join a collaborative team providing inpatient, outpatient, and OR services with a high volume of trauma cases.

The role requires Oregon licensure, appropriate national certification, DEA, ACLS, and optional First Assistant credentials. Inpatient, clinic, and OR support offered with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• ARC-PA accredited PA program graduate.
• Current Oregon PA license in good standing.
• PANCE passed and NCCPA certification; privileges may be granted if pending.
• DEA and ACLS certifications.
• Preference for 1 year surgical PA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for surgical patients in the clinic.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and optimize readiness for surgery.
• Manage post-operative follow-up visits and adjust treatment plans.
• Perform specialty-specific procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with surgeons and team to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, options, and recovery.
