Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Physician Assistant to join the Acute Care Surgery team at High Point Medical Center in High Point, North Carolina. This full-time role involves emergency general surgery and trauma care with first-assist duties in the operating room, across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with weekly evening call rotation in a collaborative, high-acuity environment. Hospital privileges and RVU incentives are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current NCCPA certification.
• Eligible for or current North Carolina PA licensure.
• Ability to obtain medical staff privileges at High Point Medical Center.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage EGS and trauma surgery patients in inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and formulate treatment plans.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons and multidisciplinary teams for high-quality care.
• Serve as first assist during surgical procedures.
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
• Participate in evening and weekend call rotation.
