Beacon Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team in South Bend. You will deliver high‑quality care across ED, ICU, OR, and inpatient units, collaborating with physicians and clinicians in a fast‑paced environment.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, education of students and residents, and participation in program education and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
• Current Indiana license and board certification.
• Two years of relevant clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, medical histories, and physical examinations.
• Provide surgical first‑assist duties in trauma and emergency general surgery.
• Coordinate pre‑ and post‑operative care and follow‑up in trauma care.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostics.
• Triage calls and provide clinical consultations.
• Mentor and teach nursing staff and residents.
• Maintain thorough documentation in the medical record.
