Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for the Surgical Specialty - Non-Operative to provide direct patient care across inpatient and surgical settings. You will render specialized medical management under physician supervision and contribute to comprehensive care plans for adult and pediatric patients.

The role requires current Texas NP licensure, acute care certification, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Texas RN license or RN licensure with compact privilege
• Current Texas APRN license
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire/transfer

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and mental condition through exams and histories.
• Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate labs and diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications and other therapies as allowed; implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and team; adjust care based on response.
• Counsel patients and families on medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes; coordinate referrals.
