Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner for the Surgical Specialty - Non-Operative. The role delivers direct patient care, collaborates with physicians, and operates with delegated prescriptive authority within scope of practice.

Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and patient education across adult and pediatric populations in inpatient and specialty settings. ACLS/BLS required.

Qualifications

• Licensed NP with authority to prescribe within scope of practice.
• Experience delivering care in surgical specialties preferred.
• Proficient in assessing and managing acute and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and mental health of patients and obtain histories.
• Order, collect, and interpret labs and diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications and manage therapies under physician supervision.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
• Counsel patients on medications, therapies and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate medical records and referrals as needed.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care across surgical services.
