Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider for the Trauma/Acute Care Surgery Service at the New Brunswick Campus. This daytime role delivers high-level care in a fast-paced trauma setting and collaborates with the acute care surgical residency.

Graduate of Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant program with NJ APN/PA licensure and national board certification. Experience with chest tubes, suturing, and wound care is preferred; must be able to work autonomously.

Qualifications

• Experience in trauma and acute care surgery settings is preferred.
• Procedures include chest tube placement, suturing, and wound care.
• Ability to work autonomously and support surgical residency programs.

Responsibilities

• Effective time management and trauma assessment skills.
• Able to adapt to a large volume of acute patients.
• Daytime role only; collaborate with acute care surgical residency.
• Work with the residency program to provide high level trauma care.
• Care provided mostly inpatient with some outpatient flex as needed.
