Job summary

ESFM, the facilities management arm of Compass Group USA, is hiring a Trash Technician in Rockville, VA. You will collect, transport, and dispose of trash and bio-hazardous waste following safety protocols, support cleaning tasks, and help maintain a safe workplace. Training is available for those new to janitorial work.

Flexible schedules (days/evenings); starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with full-time and part-time options, and comprehensive benefits for eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk, stand, and push trash containers weighing 50–100 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, transports, and disposes of trash, chemicals, and bio-hazardous materials using proper safety procedures.
• Performs cleaning functions as assigned; properly operates cleaning equipment as designated.
• Recognizes safety hazards and acts accordingly.

TRASH TECHNICIAN

Location: 2022 Ashland Road, Rockville, VA 23146. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule:

• Employees will be assigned to either Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday schedules, working 7:00 AM–5:30 PM (days) or 7:00 PM–5:30 AM (nights).
• During the initial site startup and construction clean phase, all team members will temporarily work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM before transitioning to their assigned schedule.

Requirement: Previous janitorial experience is preferred, but not required. Willing to train!

Fixed Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour
