Job summary

Casella-Waste-Systems, Inc. is hiring a Helper to assist drivers on customer routes with a focus on service quality. The role involves loading/unloading containers manually or mechanically, and guiding bins back to their original spots while maintaining safety and professionalism.

The starting hourly pay is $20 per hour. Pre-employment drug screening is required; candidate must lift 50 lbs constantly and work in diverse weather conditions as part of a fast-paced team in the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required and legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs constantly and work in varying weather.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, strong customer service.
• Ability to work as part of a team with strong safety focus.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Loads and empties residential and/or commercial containers into truck manually or mechanically.
• Maneuvers containers that are staged curbside, dockside, carryout, or require pullout to complete service.
• Operates hoisting device to lift and empty bins into truck hopper.
• Places serviced bins back at original location with covers in place.
• Assists driver with backing maneuvers on route.
• Loads trash and recycling into a rear load truck in varying weather.
