Job summary

Boone Memorial Hospital Inc. in Madison, WV is seeking a Per Diem Radiology Transport Associate to greet patients, review exam information, and assist with imaging procedures.

You will safely move patients using wheelchairs or stretchers and support Radiologic Technologists during exams. The role emphasizes patient safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort during transportation, with duties including scheduling, PACS exports, and maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients arriving for Radiology services
• Review exam information and help prepare patients for imaging procedures
• Safely transport patients to and from the Radiology Department using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other appropriate equipment
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, dignity, and comfort during transportation
• Assist Radiologic Technologists during examinations and procedures as needed
• Schedule appointments and perform related functions within TruBridge
• Burn and export imaging studies through PACS as needed
• Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked patient and work areas
• Use appropriate lifting techniques, transfer methods, and safety equipment when assisting patients
• Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the healthcare team
• Maintain accurate records and assist with departmental clerical duties
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
• Follow all applicable hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
