Job summary

ICFAI is seeking a Transport Assistant to support the Radiology Department by moving patients between areas, transporting linens, and assisting technologists with non-technical duties. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and the ability to pass the FIT test.

The position operates Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, in Statesville, North Carolina. Prior radiology or patient care experience is preferred to ensure smooth patient handling and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Previous radiology and/or patient care experience desired.
• Must have basic FIT test capability and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Moving patients, pushing wheelchairs and stretchers, and handling film processing supplies.

Responsibilities

• Transport newborn through geriatric patients to the Radiology Department.
• Aide technologists with moving patients and non-technical duties as required.
• Collect and deposit soiled linen in appropriate areas, order supplies.
• Assist with non-technical radiology tasks as needed and support workflow.

Transports newborn , infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients to the Radiology Department. Collects and deposits soiled linen in appropriate areas, orders supplies and assists technologists with moving patients. Aids the technologist in radiographic film processing and other non-technical duties as required. Has no access to patient health information.

Shift

M-F, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Previous Radiology and /or patient care experience desired.
• Has acquired experience or possesses appropriate capabilities as determined by the Director of Radiology.
• Moving patients, pushing wheelchairs and stretchers and lifting film processing supplies.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
