Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a full-time Transporter to perform patient transport duties from Saturday to Tuesday, 10:30 AM to 9 PM. You will prioritize patient care and ensure the quality of service as a radiology transporter.

Your role involves transporting patients safely, providing a professional atmosphere, and handling various transport needs between diagnostic and treatment areas. Preferred qualifications include experience in the health care setting and a Basic Life Support (BLS)

Qualifications

• Recent experience in health care setting providing patient care preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients according to the designated method and adhering to scheduled times.
• Transfer patients safely and efficiently via wheelchair, movable bed, or stretcher.
• Ensure patient is properly dressed or gowned for examination.
• Provide a positive and professional atmosphere for patients.
• Coordinate transport of patients to and from diagnostic testing.

Performs patient transport and other related duties in a timely manner. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as requested. Recognizes the purpose or employment is to prioritize the patient as number one and to put forth the utmost quality in duties performed as radiology transporters.

Job Duties:

• Transport patients according to the designated method and adhering to scheduled times to and from diagnostic and treatment areas.
• Continually transfer patients safely and efficiently via wheelchair, movable bed, or stretcher.
• Assure patient is properly dressed or gowned for examination.
• Provides positive and professional atmosphere for patients.
• Coordinates transport of patients to and from diagnostic testing, transports upon admission as appropriate and at discharge.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma /GED

Preferred Requirements:

• Recent experience in health care setting providing patient care
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
