Job summary

Catholic Health in Bethpage, NY seeks a Hospital Transporter to move patients safely within the care units and assist with patient handling. The role supports patient comfort, safety, and coordination with nursing staff during transfers and examinations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or relevant experience required.
• One to two years' experience in an acute care facility preferred.
• BLS Certification required (American Heart Association).

• Transfers patients in and out of wheelchair as required.

• Maintains and practices proper body mechanics.
• Demonstrates ability in the care and handling of patients in all age groups including age-related needs.
• Maintains established departmental/hospital policies and procedures for quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection control.

Salary Range

USD $25.59 - USD $25.59 /Hr.
