Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Health System in Raeford, North Carolina is seeking a Part-Time Transporter in the Patient Transportation department. You will transport patients, wheelchairs, stretchers and traction equipment, ensuring safety and timely service.

You may also help with cleaning and maintaining equipment used in patient transfer. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of related experience preferred, and CPR for Healthcare Provider and NCI training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, wheelchairs, stretchers and equipment safely and promptly.
• Observe patient condition and report changes to supervisor and nursing staff.
• Demonstrate proper handling of tubes, IVs and equipment during transport.
• Utilize Rover device with EPIC Transport Command Center as part of workflow.
• Identify equipment in need of repair and follow steps to ensure safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the department.

Use transport equipment correctly ensuring safety measures are adhered to. Cleans, repairs and maintains equipment for operability. Support the philosophy of nursing to provide better patient care.# **Major Job Functions**The following is a summary of the major essential functions of this job.
