Patient Transporter - Full-Time Nights

Hours: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Schedule: Every 4th weekend and holiday rotation required

Looking for a role where you can make a difference behind the scenes while supporting patient care? Join our team as a Patient Transporter and play an essential role in ensuring patients, equipment, and supplies are safely and efficiently transported throughout the hospital.

What You'll Do
  • Safely transport patients and necessary equipment between nursing units, treatment areas, and other hospital departments.
  • Deliver supplies, equipment, medications, and other materials accurately and efficiently throughout the facility.
  • Ensure proper medication handoff directly to nursing staff when required.
  • Utilize the Transport Tracking System to accurately document transportation activities.
  • Inspect, clean, and disinfect transportation equipment according to department standards.
  • Communicate transportation updates and report any unusual situations to leadership.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Requires the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in order to successfully complete. Transport duties and the ability to use. Transport equipment. May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored or may transport medications when they transport patients. Transportation of medication is limited from one department to another.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
