Job description

Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: There are both FT & Per Diem positions available. The Per Diem position does not offer benefits. Schedule flexibility is preferred, and alternating weekends will be required. The schedule is 8-hour shifts.What you will do:

• Demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary to assure assessment, and care are appropriate to the age of patients served. Care provided is appropriate for all patients including neonates, pediatrics, adults, or geriatrics.

• Transport patients, equipment, and/or supplies to and from various departments in the hospital. Utilize several modes of transportation and handles various types of patient equipment.

• Promote patient safety and a safe environment at all times.

• Perform other job-related duties within the job scope as requested by the supervisor or a dispatcher.

• Maintain open lines of communication at all times. Maintain documentation of all transportation activities and submits to Dispatcher at end of shift.
  
• Ensure Equipment storage areas are kept neat and orderly. Assist in equipment maintenance.

Education & Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or GED required
• Good verbal communication skills
• BLS (Basic Life Support) card from the American Heart Association (prior to hire)
