Job summary

Norman Regional Health System in Oklahoma is seeking a Hospital Transporter to move patients within the hospital and at discharge, and to deliver supplies and equipment to departments.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment cleanliness, supporting Shift Coordinator duties, performing AIDET, and attending most department meetings. Cross-training across facilities and courier duties are required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Experience providing customer service in transportation or dispatching is preferred; clerical duties may be involved.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) is required before or during orientation.

• Cross-trains to cover transporter functions across all facilities in the health system.
• Performs courier functions as assigned.
• Communicates with departments using assigned smartphones.
• Delivers oxygen to requesting units during severe weather (Code Black).

Experience

• Prefer experience providing customer service in transportation (or transport), clerical duties, and/or dispatching associated functions. Requires general computer skills capable of utilizing health system's software programs.

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) CPR acquired before or during new hire orientation.
