Job summary

Carroll Hospital in Westminster, Maryland, part of LifeBridge Health, is seeking a Transporter to move patients throughout the hospital and assist in responding to codes.

You will secure equipment, orient new personnel to performance standards, and collaborate with the patient care team, serving pediatric through geriatric patients.

Qualifications

• Less than one year of experience.
• High School / GED - Preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients throughout the hospital.
• Respond to all codes.
• Secure appropriate equipment when asked.
• Orient new personnel in accordance with performance standards.
• Participate as a member of the patient care team taking into consideration needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Job description

Summary: The Transporter is a functional position accountable to the basic standards of practice for transporters. The transporter assists in the transporting of patients throughout the hospital. Responds to all codes. Secures appropriate equipment when asked. Orients new personnel in accordance with performance standards. Participates as a member of the patient care team taking into consideration needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Experience: Less than one year
Education: High School / GED- Preferred

Licensures & Certifications: Basic Life Support- Required

Pay Range: $17.00 to $22.59 Based On Experience
