AHMC HealthCare is seeking a Patient Transporter to facilitate patient transport throughout the facility. This full-time role involves moving patients to and from various locations, while ensuring their safety and comfort. Candidates should hold a high school diploma and current BLS certification, with bilingual skills preferred. The position supports healthcare operations and contributes to improving patient care efficiency.
Overview
Under the direction of Nursing Office Personnel (Nursing Director/Manager, Assistant Director of Nursing, nursing support manager or staffing coordinator), the Patient Transporter responds to and facilitates the transport of patients throughout the organization. Transport includes, but is not limited to, moving patients to and from diagnostic testing/procedures, transferring patients between floors or units, transporting remains to the morgue, and moving goods or medical equipment.
This position requires frequent walking and moving objects or patients weighing over 25 lbs. Sound body mechanics and safe transfer techniques are essential. During non-transport times, duties may include clerical tasks such as charting, maintaining the environment, answering phones, observing patients, and assisting with transfers or ambulation. Additional tasks like assembling skeletal traction may be assigned based on competency.

High school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish/Vietnamese/Chinese) preferred. Current BLS certification required. MAB certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
