Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a transporter to transfer and transport patients within the hospital and at discharge. The role includes picking up and delivering patient supplies and equipment, and maintaining cleanliness of transport equipment.

The ideal candidate has high school education and prefers experience in transportation or dispatch, with basic computer skills to operate the health system's software. CPR certification is required before orientation.

Responsibilities

• Transfers and transports patients within the hospital and at discharge.
• Picks up and delivers patient supplies and equipment to departments inside the hospital.
• Cleans and sanitizes transportation equipment.
• Performs duties relating to Shift Coordinator in the absence of the Supervisor/Coordinator/Lead.
• Performs AIDET.
• Attend at least 75% of department meetings.
• Cross-train to perform transporter functions at all facilities in the health system.
• Performs courier functions as assigned.
• Communicates with department utilizing assigned smartphone devices.
• Deliver adequate oxygen to all requesting units during severe weather (Code Black).

Experience

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider) CPR acquired before or during new hire orientation.
