Job summary

HCA HealthONE Swedish is seeking a Transporter to move patients, supplies, and equipment across the hospital, supporting technologists and nurses as needed. The role involves assisting with patient transfers to exam tables and handling related paperwork, with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, and candidates should hold current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• Experience: Prefer some hospital or clinical experience.
• Education: None or no formal education required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, supplies and equipment using carts, wheelchairs and beds throughout the hospital.
• Assist technologists and nurses in moving patients to exam tables and ensure forms are completed by staff.
• Perform a variety of clerical activities and maintain cleanliness of transport equipment.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Transports patients of all age ranges, supplies, and equipment throughout the entire hospital using carts, wheelchairs, and beds. Generally assists technologists/nurses in moving patients to exam tables and ensures communication forms are filled out completely by all staff. When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Performs a variety of clerical activities. Maintains cleanliness of transport equipment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Prior patient care experience desirable.
