Job summary

Villa Bella Luxury Retirement Community in Clinton Charter Township, MI is seeking a Transporter to provide safe transportation for residents to appointments and activities. Reports to the Executive Director and follows established policies; responsibilities include transporting residents and coordinating around appointments.

Required: CDL with Passenger Endorsement, high school diploma or GED, and experience in senior living transport preferred.

Description

Position Summary:

The transporter will directly report to and communicate with the Executive Director. The transporter will comply with established policies and procedures that may be imposed from time to time. Primary responsibilities of the trans potter include, but are not limited to, transporting residents for group activities and/or personal appointments.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Provides transportation service to current residents for appointments in the community.
  • Responsible for maintaining a schedule of resident appointment times.
  • Keeps current company information in the bus/van at all times.
  • Completes incident reports as necessary.
  • Maintains accurate log of vehicle repair and maintenance.
  • Meet/exceed established performance goals. Additional performance requirements may be communicated.
  • Job Knowledge - Demonstrate a thorough understanding of his/her job processes and procedures. Efficiently use resources (including staff and management) to obtain additional knowledge.
  • Cooperativeness -Demonstrate a 'can do' attitude by responding positively to instructions. Follow instructions and work harmoniously with others to complete the job or task.
  • Commitment - Commit to his/her job and to the success of the company. Take initiative to offer ideas to improve processes or results.

  • Attend all required department events, staff meetings, and any other job-related functions.
  • Attend and successfully completes all mandatory trainings.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Perform other tasks as required.
Requirements
Education, Training, and Experience:
  • Maintains CDL - with Passenger Endorsement License in good standing.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in transporting in a senior living setting preferred.
