Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ is seeking a dedicated Transport Associate to move patients, equipment and supplies safely and efficiently throughout the facility.

You will support clinical teams by ensuring timely patient transport, applying proper body mechanics, and adhering to hospital policies and safety standards. Good communication and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must obtain the American Heart Association BLS certification during orientation.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Effective verbal and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to navigate to/from various locations throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Transport patients, medical equipment, and patient items safely and promptly.
  • Ensure patient and customer satisfaction and adherence to policies and procedures.

Short Description

Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment and patient-related items to their destinations enabling physicians, nurses, technicians, and therapists to perform their duties in an effective manner. Ensures positive patient and customer satisfaction, proper utilization of body mechanics, adherence to policies, procedures and standards established by Hospital, Department and Regulatory Agencies. Acts as a positive role model and team player demonstrating hospital mission and values. Education Requirements
  • HS diploma or GED preferred.
License/Certification Requirements
  • Must obtain the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers certification during department orientation if not certified prior to hire.
