Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in South Jersey is seeking a versatile support services associate to assist with laundry, patient transport, and environmental tasks. You will help orient and train team members, ensure duties are performed to standard, and follow all hospital policies.

The role requires a High School Diploma (preferred) and BLS certification, willingness to perform routine tasks, and the ability to work under supervision.

Short Description

• Assist management in ensuring that support services associates are fully oriented, trained, and capable of and willing to perform all the duties outlined.
• Able to and willing to perform all assigned duties within the Laundry, Patient Transport and Environmental as assigned or needed.
• The performance and quality standards for the assignment will be met constantly.
• This position has indirect supervisory duties as needed to help direct and guide staff as needed. The position has no budgetary duties.
• Receives in-service and performs proper cleaning and care of all equipment.
• Attends and follows all in-services provided annually, monthly, weekly and as arises.
• Follows all hospital and departmental policies consistently.
• Performs assigned duties to the designated standard at all times.
• Individual must have a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continual basis, accept supervision from a number of persons, and perform tasks despite frequent interruptions.
• The ability to perform tasks with due consideration for patients, staff, visitors in the vicinity.
• Physical requirements are noted on the ADA compliance reports.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

License/Certification Requirements
