Job summary

Cooper University Health Care seeks a dedicated Support Services Associate to assist management in orienting and training staff across Laundry, Patient Transport and Environmental services in a fast-paced hospital setting.

You will perform routine duties, maintain cleanliness, follow policies, and ensure safety for patients and staff, with training and in-service opportunities and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Assist management in orienting and training support services associates.
• Able to perform duties within Laundry, Patient Transport and Environmental as assigned.
• Maintain performance and quality standards for the assignment.
• Position has indirect supervisory duties as needed.
• Receives in-service and performs proper cleaning and care of equipment.
• Attends and follows all in‑services provided annually, monthly, weekly and as arises.
• Follows hospital and departmental policies consistently.
• Performs routine, repetitive tasks and accepts supervision.
• Consideration for patients, staff, visitors in the vicinity.
• ADA-mandated physical requirements are noted in compliance reports.

Responsibilities

Short Description

• Assist management in ensuring that support services associates are fully oriented, trained, and capable of and willing to perform all the duties outlined.
• Able to and willing to perform all assigned duties within the Laundry, Patient Transport and Environmental as assigned or needed.
• The performance and quality standards for the assignment will be met constantly.
• This position has indirect supervisory duties as needed to help direct and guide staff as needed. The position has no budgetary duties.
• Receives in-service and performs proper cleaning and care of all equipment.
• Attends and follows all in‑services provided annually, monthly, weekly and as arises.
• Follows all hospital and departmental policies consistently.
• Performs assigned duties to the designated standard at all times.
• Individual must have a willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continual basis, accept supervision from a number of persons, and perform tasks despite frequent interruptions.
• The ability to perform tasks with due consideration for patients, staff, visitors in the vicinity.
• Physical requirements are noted on the ADA compliance reports.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
