Maine Department of Transportation seeks candidates for the Yard Crew at Fleet Services headquarters in Augusta, ME. You will perform maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings, bridges, and roads, using hand tools and heavy equipment under supervision.
Applicants must be 18+, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to obtain a Class A CDL with Haz-Mat endorsement. Some certifications and licenses must be obtained within specified timeframes.

This is general transportation infrastructure maintenance work within the Yard Crew at Fleet Services headquarters, involving construction, repair, and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, buildings, bridges, grounds, roadways and/or other applicable infrastructure. Work includes the use of hand power tools and related heavy equipment to perform assigned duties. These positions require long hours of work under adverse conditions. Positions in this crew must have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL with Haz-Mat endorsement. Work is performed under direct supervision.
For this position candidates must meet the following experience criteria :
Under federal law, only U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, or H-2A, H-2B, or E-2 visa holders will be eligible for new or renewed CDLs.
