Job Information Exemption Status: Non-Exempt A Brief Overview The Transportation Technician must demonstrate the ability and be willing to perform a minimum of 2 of the functions in the Transportation Department. These include Courier, Mail Processing and Delivery and Dispatching. Transportation Technicians are scheduled as required to meet the needs of Stormont-Vail and are cross-trained. Technicians must interact with internal customers on a frequent basis, using tact and diplomacy while communicating clearly and accurately. RequiredWhat you will do* Transports medications, specimens, blood products, films and any other item that needs to be delivered to authorized personnel.* Travels to and from delivery site(s) on foot or by vehicle as assigned. Able to operate letter opener, scales.* Answers phones and logs details of each request.
