Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington, MA, seeks a software architect/developer to design and build software for next-generation transportation and logistics decision-support systems. You’ll join a product team, contribute to full-stack development, UI design, and thorough documentation while collaborating closely with experts and analysts.

The role requires a Master’s in CS or related field (or a bachelor’s with 3–5 years of experience), strong CI/CD, Docker, MATLAB/Python/Julia, and solid

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; in lieu, a bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of experience
  • Proficiency with software build management with make/cmake
  • Proficiency with high-level prototyping software languages (Matlab, Python, and Julia)
  • Experience with CI/CD processes
  • Familiarity with Docker/containerization
  • Familiarity with LaTeX for document preparation
  • Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop software for next-generation transportation and logistics decision support systems
  • Participate in a product development team and support multiple project aspects
  • Potentially include UI design and full-stack development
  • Document software and collaborate with subject-matter experts and system analysts
  • May entail embedded software development
