Thermon is seeking a Designer for its Transportation product line in San Marcos, TX. You will design transportation systems to customer specifications, preparing isometrics, panel and cable schedules, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Report to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with engineering, sales, operations, and project management teams. The role is onsite at Thermon San Marcos Campus (100 Thermon Dr., San Marcos, TX), Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology required.
• Minimum 3 years of design-to-order experience required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation essential.
• Experience with design software such as CompuTrace, Visi Trace, TSDS.
• English language proficiency required (read, write, converse).

Responsabilités

• Prepare isometrics, panel schedules, cable schedules, instrument schedules, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and location drawings.
• Design transportation systems per customer specs to ensure satisfaction and profitability.
• Review project specifications and understand scope of work.
• Follow project requirements and quality, schedule, and technical constraints.
• Maintain project design folder structure and support process improvements.
• Assist in developing global and regional tools and procedures.
• Other duties assigned by management.
