Qualifications

• You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-04 in the normal line of progression for the occupation.
• Examples: preparing written instructions and correspondence; performing data entry; scheduling appointments and admissions; collecting, compiling, and tracking data; ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Education GS-05 requires 4 years of college education above high school; transcripts required.
• Alternative for GS-05: combination of specialized experience and education; an equivalent combination of post-high school education and specialized experience.
• Specialized Experience GS-06 requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-04; examples: coordinating transportation connections/scheduling; data collection and tracking; basic data analysis and reporting; entering data into automated tracking systems; planning and directing a program providing support services.
• Preferred Experience: Office work or customer service work preferred.
• Physical Requirements and Work Environment: exposure to stressful situations, high volume of work, and varying program demands; duties primarily in the Veteran Transportation Service program office with some trips to various locations within the Medical Center area.
