Job summary

Gold Star Foods is seeking a Transportation Supervisor in Georgia to oversee delivery operations, dispatch personnel and equipment, and ensure safe, efficient service to K-12 clients. You will supervise drivers, monitor routes, and ensure compliance with safety programs and company policies.

Responsibilities include training drivers, analyzing routes, handling daily dispatch, and coaching staff to achieve high performance while maintaining excellent customer relations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• DOT regulations knowledge required.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong customer orientation and communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus but not required.
• Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and retain drivers while ensuring safety and Hours-of-Service compliance.
• Review routes to reduce miles and improve equipment utilization and lower costs.
• Evaluate driver performance and ensure quality customer service and safety inspections.
• Dispatch, plan, and coordinate daily operations; ensure routes depart on time; cover routes if needed.
• Develop drivers’ product knowledge and customer etiquette for the delivery experience.
• Maintain vehicle safety through daily DVIR checklists and inspections.
• Lead drivers’ meetings quarterly and communicate essential information.
• Monitor driver safety and regulatory compliance across the team.
• Collaborate with Transportation Manager and HR on coaching and disciplinary actions.
