Job summary

Humboldt Senior Resource Center is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to oversee daily operations for Arcata and Fortuna sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable service. The role includes leading drivers, coordinating with dispatch, and maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will supervise staff, manage scheduling, and contribute to continuous improvement while supporting participants and collaborating with program teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, scheduling, coordination, or similar.
• 1 year of leadership experience, preferably in transportation, healthcare, or similar.
• 1 year experience working with frail or elderly population.
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Valid CA Driver’s License with clean driving record; vehicle and insurance requirements.
• CPR and First Aid within 6 months of hire; ELDT/Passenger Endorsement as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily transportation drivers and coordinates staffing.
• Coordinates operations with drivers, dispatchers, program staff, and others.
• Identifies operational challenges and recommends process improvements.
• Assists with recruiting, onboarding, training, and evaluation of staff.
• Maintains DOT/FMCSA compliance and participant transportation records.
• Performs and documents vehicle inspections and fleet maintenance coordination.
