Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Transportation Supervisor for the 2nd shift in Troy, NY. This in-person role leads a team of professional drivers, manages route assignments, and ensures deliveries arrive safely and on time.

You will coach drivers on safety and customer service, monitor operations, and collaborate with fleet maintenance and HR on staffing and development. A strong leader with logistics experience will thrive here in a growing organization.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years in distribution/logistics with supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Experience with routing software and telematics.
• CDL and current medical card preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Ability to multitask and handle conflicts professionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to drivers and manage tractor, trailer, and truck assignments.
• Adjust load assignments and delivery instructions as the day changes.
• Use routing software to improve route efficiency and lower costs.
• Create driver schedules, approve time, and monitor overtime.
• Make sure daily paperwork, logs, inspections, and delivery tickets are complete.
• Prepare operational reports and track KPIs.
• Coach drivers on safety, compliance, and professional customer service.
• Partner with fleet maintenance to keep equipment in top shape.
• Investigate accidents and safety concerns and drive corrective actions.
• Work with HR on recruiting, training, and driver development.

A well established and growing food distribution organization with a team that cares about their people is hiring a Transportation Supervisor for the second shift. You will lead a team of professional drivers, keep deliveries moving safely and on time, and set the tone for safety, customer service, and operational excellence.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide daily direction to drivers and manage tractor, trailer, and truck assignments
