Daniels Health in Shakopee, MN seeks a Transportation Supervisor to lead daily logistics, route planning, and driver performance. This first-shift role supports frontline healthcare teams by ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient medical waste transport.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a management or supervisory role.
• Clean 10-year DMV record (dated within the last 30 days).
• Valid DOT medical certificate (or ability to obtain one).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, log books, and safe cargo handling practice.

Responsabilités

• Provide daily pre-departure support including truck loading, manifest checks, transporter quality checks.
• Monitor and support driver routing to maximize productivity and address route-related issues.
• Maintain communication between plant operations, sales, and field service teams.
• Conduct daily route debriefs to resolve service issues and improve customer satisfaction.
• Manage driver performance, conduct evaluations, and support ongoing development.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and resolve equipment issues to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure driver compliance with safety regulations and perform quality checks on all loaded/unloaded products.
• Control operational costs by managing headcount, limiting overtime, and optimizing driver performance.

What you will do

What we are looking for

Must Have

• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with the public.
• 3+ years in a management or supervisory role.
• Clean 10-year DMV record (dated within the last 30 days).
• Valid DOT medical certificate (or ability to obtain one).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, log books, and safe cargo handling practice.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, or flex hours based on operational needs.
• Must be able to reliably commute to our Shakopee, MN plant.

Nice to Have

• 24+ months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• CDL.
• Experience driving in healthcare, food & beverage, or retail industries.
• Experience with routing and dispatch software (e.g., Samsara, Omnitracs, or similar systems) highly preferred.
