Medline Industries is seeking a Fleet Dispatch Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the MedTrans fleet, scheduling and dispatching vehicles and drivers while ensuring DOT and company compliance.

The role involves optimizing daily routes, training drivers, maintaining equipment, and leading a team. Candidates should have high school level education, 2+ years guiding staff, and working knowledge of routing software and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience managing and dispatching drivers and use of routing software.
• At least 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring and training staff.
• Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.
• Basic level skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily routes and fleet activities based on branch and fleet workloads.
• Ensure all drivers are properly trained according to MedTrans requirements.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained per MedTrans vehicle maintenance policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and discipline all drivers.
• Conduct regularly scheduled driver meetings as required by DOT or policy.
• Lead day-to-day activities of employees and provide guidance on complex issues.

Ensure compliance with all state Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company regulations.Job DescriptionMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Optimize daily routes and activities based on branch and fleet workloads as well as available Customer order information.Ensure all drivers are properly trained according to MedTrans requirements.Ensure all equipment is properly maintained in accordance with the MedTrans vehicle maintenance policy.Recruit, hire, train and discipline all drivers.Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with drivers as required by DOT and/or company policy.Lead day-to-day activities of employees. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
