Medline Industries is seeking a Fleet Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient operation of the MedTrans fleet, including scheduling and dispatching drivers and ensuring DOT and company compliance.

The role focuses on optimizing routes, training drivers, maintaining equipment per policy, and recruiting and mentoring staff. The position offers a competitive salary range and bonus eligibility based on performance.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing and dispatching drivers.
  • Experience using routing software.
  • At least 2 years coaching, mentoring and training staff.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (e.g. currency formatting, formulas).
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (slideshow and text formatting).
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (document formatting, editing).
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily; lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs occasionally).
  • Must stand for 8 hours per day, up to 6 days a week.

Job SummaryOversee the safe and efficient operation of the assigned MedTrans fleet including proper maintenance and the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and drivers. Ensure compliance with all state Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company regulations.Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Optimize daily routes and activities based on branch and fleet workloads as well as available Customer order information.Ensure all drivers are properly trained according to MedTrans requirements.Ensure all equipment is properly maintained in accordance with the MedTrans vehicle maintenance policy.Recruit, hire, train and discipline all drivers. - Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with drivers as required by DOT and/or company policy.Lead day-to-day activities of employees. Assign, monitor and review progress and accuracy of work, direct efforts and provide technical guidance on more complex issues.Required Experience:EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent.Work ExperienceExperience managing and dispatching drivers and use of routing software.At least 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring and training staff.Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, rearranging, hiding and deleting slides, navigating between slides, increasing list level, adding, centering and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing outline view and/or running a slide show).Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting and aligning text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, sorting, inserting bullets, pictures and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print functions).Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day for up to 6 days a weekMedline Industries, LP, and its subsidiaries, offer a competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.The anticipated salary range for this position:$73,000.00 - $110,000.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
