United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to coordinate daily driver and staff schedules, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to DOT regulations.

You will partner with the Transportation Manager and cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations. This full-time role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with MS Office, and excellent communication to keep drivers informed and customers updated on delivery status.

• Provide backup support to the Transportation Manager, including log data entry and quality checks.
• Serve as a central communication hub for schedule changes and new account services across departments.
• Perform other duties as needed to support operational efficiency.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, (9am - 5pm)

Position Purpose:

As a Transportation Supervisor, you will assist management in supervising drivers and staff within the Transportation Department. You will implement schedules, manage departure times, and ensure daily departmental functions run smoothly and efficiently. Your role is pivotal in coordinating changes and maintaining strong communication with customers and internal partners.

Essential Functions & Basic Duties:

• Coordinate Daily Operations: Schedule drivers and staff to maximize workforce effectiveness and ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor Performance: Track driver departure times and report relevant information to management.
• On-Call Duties: Share on-call responsibilities within the Transportation Department to address urgent issues.
• Customer Coordination: Work closely with drivers to coordinate delivery schedules and notify customers of delays or accidents.
• Support Management: Provide backup support to the Transportation Manager, including log data entry and quality checks.
• Communication Hub: Serve as a central point of communication for schedule changes and new account services across departments.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as needed to support operational efficiency.
