Job summary

United Supermarkets, LLC is seeking a Yard Supervisor to oversee yard drivers, salvage, trailer washer and equipment, ensuring safe daily operations. The role can operate with minimal onsite management and requires hands-on leadership across the yard team.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of supervisory experience, a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with Excel and Word. OSHA PIT training and strong communication are essential to coordinate with Transportation

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license for vehicle types to be driven.
• Knowledge of safely operating a mule, tractor and trailer a plus; familiarity with MHE equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
• OSHA Powered Industrial Truck training and pass associated tests.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Key Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience
• Knowledge of safely operating a mule, tractor and trailer a plus and MHE equipment
• Knowledge of inhaul/backhaul procedures
• Familiar with work environment, time and attendance requirements
• High degree of initiative and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
• Ability to read, understand, and follow directions/instructions
• Valid driver7s license for types of vehicles to be driven
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
• Have appropriate eye, hand and foot coordination to properly use various equipment and/or tools
• To work in different outside temperatures, (snow, heat, rain, etc.)
• Must pass all company testing
• Must submit to OSHA Powered Industrial Truck training and pass associated tests
• Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
