Position Summary:

Responsible for supervision and training of drivers at Operating Company (OpCo), ensuring deliveries are made safely, efficiently, and on time. Monitors DOT logs, ensures compliance with DOT and OpCo regulations, and coordinates tracking of driver information. Performs duties to serve the company's needs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Supervises staff, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution. Assists with scheduling and ensures timely deliveries and pickups. Rides with drivers for training and evaluation.
• Assists Transportation/Operations Manager with daily transportation and delivery operations, including payroll, trip logs, expense reports, problem resolution, and compliance. Uses fleet management systems.
• Ensures driver safety through vehicle safety checks, proper equipment use, and safety practices. Attends safety meetings as required.
• Tracks driver-related information such as licenses, tickets, accidents, and safety data.
• Completes delivery and driver paperwork accurately, including invoices, logs, reports, and safety documentation.
• Maintains fleet through post-trip inspections and coordination.
• Works with management to optimize routing and minimize expenses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. 2-4 years of transportation or related experience, including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, and experience with computerized fleet management systems.
