Medtrans LLC in Hammond, Louisiana is seeking a Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the assigned fleet, including scheduling and dispatching drivers, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations.
You will optimize daily routes, monitor maintenance, recruit and train drivers, and lead a team to meet branch workloads. Proficiency with routing software and Microsoft Excel/Office is required.
Job Summary Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the assigned MedTrans fleet including proper maintenance and the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and drivers. Ensure compliance with all state Department of Transportation (DOT) and Company regulations.
Optimize daily routes and activities based on branch and fleet workloads as well as available Customer order information. Ensure all drivers are properly trained according to MedTrans requirements. Ensure all equipment is properly maintained in accordance with the MedTrans vehicle maintenance policy. Recruit, hire, train and discipline all drivers.
Education High school diploma or equivalent. Work Experience Experience managing and dispatching drivers and use of routing software. At least 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring and training staff. Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations. Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day for up to 6 days a week.

The anticipated salary range for this position: $73,000.00 - $110,000.00 Annual. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
