Position Summary:

Responsible for supervising and training drivers at the Operating Company (OpCo), ensuring safe, efficient, and timely deliveries. Monitors Department of Transportation (DOT) logs, ensures driver compliance with regulations, and coordinates tracking of driver information. Performs duties to support the organization and its goals.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Supervises staff, including staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution. Assists with scheduling and ensures timely deliveries and pickups. Rides with drivers for training and evaluation.
2. Manages daily transportation and delivery operations, reviews driver logs and expense reports, resolves issues, and ensures DOT and OpCo compliance. Uses fleet management software for data entry and access.
3. Ensures driver safety by monitoring vehicle safety practices, safety equipment usage, and safe handling procedures. Attends safety meetings as required.
4. Tracks driver-related information such as licenses, traffic tickets, accidents, and safety data.
5. Completes delivery and driver paperwork accurately, including invoices, trip reports, fuel tickets, DOT logs, DVIRs, and accident reports.
6. Maintains vehicles through pre- and post-trip inspections.
7. Collaborates with management to optimize routing and minimize expenses.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. 2-4 years of transportation or related experience, including knowledge of DOT and safety regulations, and experience with fleet management systems. Proficient in MS Office.
