Southwire Company, LLC seeks a Transportation Manager to oversee enterprise transportation, drive cost-effective routing, and manage carrier relationships. You will coordinate fleet operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead process improvements to support business objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5–7 years in transportation management and CTL certification is preferred. Domestic travel up to 25% and an office-based work environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum education of a Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of experience in transportation management.
• Certification in transportation management (CTI/CTL) is preferred; relevant licenses are a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to lead a small team.

Responsibilities

• Oversees enterprise transportation for cost-effective movement of goods.
• Develops strategies to optimize routes, cut costs, and ensure carrier relationships.
• Ensures compliance with DOT, OSHA and company policies.
• Directs daily transportation operations, fleet scheduling, and route planning.
• Evaluates performance using delivery times and costs to drive improvements.
• Implements systems to improve tracking and reporting of transportation activities.
