Job summary

HarmonyCares is seeking a Transportation Specialist – Medical to support in-home primary care services by driving clinicians to scheduled visits and transporting clients safely. The role requires a valid driver’s license, CPR certification, and familiarity with EMR systems, iPad usage, and GPS navigation.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs, drive up to 150 miles daily, and maintain patient confidentiality while supporting the mission of HarmonyCares.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active CPR Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Experience with EMR, iPad, and GPS technology.

Responsibilities

The Transportation Specialist – Medical will assist HarmonyCares Medical Group (HCMG) Clinician in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management in a residential setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Drives clinician to scheduled visits


• Drives a company vehicle to transport clients safely in accordance with pre-planned schedules


• Provides safe courteous and efficient door-to-door transportation for medical professionals


• Effective communication with team members companywide


• Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatment (supply, inventory, medical bag and car)


• Manages company vehicle with regard to cleaning and proper periodic maintenance schedule


• Maintains patient confidentiality


• Attends required meetings and in-services


• Supports mission, vision and core values which include but not limited to delivering compassionate support, attention and assistance to patients, families and members of our team


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• High School Diploma/GED


• Active CPR Certification


• Valid and unencumbered driver's license with good driving record


• Experienced in appropriate IT technology such as EMR, IPad and GPS


• Full range body motion including handling/lifting patients


• Ability to drive up to 150 miles daily in urban and/or rural settings


• Ability to lift/carry items weighing up to 50 lbs


• Ability to read and understand road maps


• Sit or stand for long periods of time
