Job summary

Tanner Health System in Carrollton, GA, seeks a Transportation Specialist - Food and Nutrition (Days) to safely deliver and pick up food supplies, perform food prep, serve meals, and assist with temperature recording. The role includes light kitchen duties, cleaning, and customer service to patients and visitors.

A valid driver’s license and ServSafe training are required; DOT exam pass within one year is needed. External candidates may receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and follow directions.
• Must pass DOT physical exam for Medical Card and DOT Registry number.
• Must complete ServSafe Food Handler course within one year of hire.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and meet Tanner Health System insurability standards.

Responsibilities

$1,000 Sign On Bonus – External Hires Only

Responsible for the safe and timely delivery and pickup of food supplies, manual tasks in food delivery, food preparation, and food serving. Work includes some prep work and overall good customer service to patients and visitors, to include recording of temperatures of food items delivered. Will also be required to perform food service duties within the work area regularly (i.e. sweeping, mopping, cleaning food equipment, and all other duties that may be required within the kitchen area).

Experience

One year of related experience. Requires working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
