This is an entry level position with great opportunity to learn all about logistics, supply chain and manufacturing. Reporting to the Transportation Supervisor along with an energetic supply chain team. Works with all levels of the organization across multiple sites with high visibility.


COMMON DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Freight quoting, booking and tracking through contracted vendors
• Expediting shipments
• International shipment routing and required documents
• intermediate trade compliance knowledge
• Regular contact with carriers to resolve delayed or lost packages.
• Proactive monitoring of shipments as appropriate
• Gather documentation and File Claims with carriers for damaged or lost freight.
• Working with plants on best shipment method to arrive at best delivery and cost
• Ensure pricing and invoicing accuracy of freight vendors
• Knowledge to maintain international item data: HTS Codes, Country of Origin, etc.
• Update systems (BPICS) with shipment information as necessary.
• Review carrier invoices for payment approval.
• Support transportation projects as needed.
• Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prefer Associates degree or 2 years of relevant work experience
• Possesses the ability to operate successfully in a matrix environment and work effectively across multiple groups and levels as a team
• A flexible, dynamic, self-motivated and proactive individual; easily accepts constructive input from others who deals well with ambiguity
• Bias for action and urgency to drive tangible impact to support our customers
• Possesses integrity with the ability to deal openly and accept accountability to stakeholder

• Proficient in MS Applications, particularly Word & Excel.
