BROKEN ARROW PUBLIC SCHOOLS is seeking a Transportation Specialist to oversee bus operations at the Central Terminal. You will supervise routes, support drivers, and ensure the safe transport of students to school.
The role requires a Class B license with school bus endorsements, several years of driving and leadership experience, and strong knowledge of routing software, GPS, and telematics systems. DOT compliance and district policy adherence are essential.
Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred; Class B Drivers License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements Required.
Experience: 4 Years of experience driving a school bus preferred; 3 to 5 years of experience in a management or training role;
Skills: Advanced knowledge of student transportation and routing software, including GPS tracking, Telematics, Vehicle Maintenance, Vehicle Surveillance and GIS mapping systems.Ability to communicate appropriately with students, parents, and district staff. Understanding of district transportation policy and procedures. Manages staff in assigned areas of responsibility. Must be task-oriented and willing to lead others. Promotes a positive team atmosphere. Acts as a liaison between the Department and other Departments as well as the general public. Must be willing and able to cover any route.
Willing and able to assist drivers with issues pertaining to bus management and overall transportation issues. Responsible for the safe transport of the students to school. Will assist in various duties including routing, communications, student and bus management, activities, and fleet operations.

Able to be in attendance for assigned responsibilities with 95% attendance.
Exposure to extreme weather conditions including intense heat and cold. Possible exposure to bodily fluids.
