Job summary

The Citadel of Glenview is seeking a Transportation Services team member to safely transport residents to appointments and back to the facility, while delivering friendly, professional service and upholding the facility’s care standards.

Responsibilities include transporting residents, protecting health information, reporting issues, following safety policies, attending trainings, and performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Current chauffeur’s license required; state law may require license type.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service and assist residents in entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information.
• Report complaints to supervisor and follow safety policies.

Job description

The Citadel of Glenview is seeking a Transportation Services to join their team! The Transportation Services is responsible for safely transporting facility residents to and from appointments, providing quality customer service and helping to set the tone for the level of care residents will receive at the facility all while operating the facility vehicle.

Transportation Services Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs miscellaneous errands, such as carrying mail to and from the post office, transporting patients to doctor's offices and other activities, and driving patients to preferred providers for emergency treatment.
• Ensures protected health information is kept confidential.
• Reports complaints made by residents to supervisor.
• Follows established safety policies and procedures.
• Observes safety needs of residents as indicated in care plan.
• Attends and participates in scheduled in-service training, educational classes and meetings.
• All other duties, as assigned

Transportation Services Qualifications and Skills:

• Maintains a current chauffeur’s license as required by state law.
• Safe driving record and ability to assist residents with into and out of the facility vehicle.
• Ability to obtain a CPR certification, preferred.

Transportation Services Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous chauffeur’s experience preferred.
• Current operator’s license required; Chauffeur’s license may be required by state law.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
