Moffatt & Nichol, a leader in waterfront infrastructure, seeks a Transportation Senior Project Manager for our Chipley office to support the FDOT D3 GEC contract. You will manage active FDOT D3 design projects and functionally lead FDOT D3 operations teams, drawing on extensive FDOT relationships and experience.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, Florida PE license, and 15+ years of FDOT project work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering was required.
• Professional Engineering License in Florida required.
• Minimum 15 years of FDOT project experience requested.
• Strong verbal and writing skills and ability to work independently.
• MS Office proficiency including Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Background check per NIST 800-171 required and E-Verify used.

• GEC Project Management of Active FDOT D3 Design Projects
• Functional Manager overseeing GEC support of FDOT D3 Transportation Operations
• Prepare standard scope of services for design projects
• Prepare Long Range Estimates (LREs) for candidate projects
• Oversee development of conceptual designs for candidate Traffic Operations projects
• Provide Constructability Reviews for FDOT D3 on assigned projects
• Provide contract time calculations for assigned projects
• Coordinate Verification Testing assignments with subconsultants

We are actively looking for a Transportation Senior Project Manager to join our Chipley office supporting the FDOT D3 General Engineering Consultant contract. The senior project manager will serve as GEC Project Manager on active FDOT D3 Design Projects and serve as the Functional Manager supporting FDOT D3 Operations (Construction, Maintenance, Traffic Ops and Materials). The desired candidate has extensive experience and relationships with FDOT.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• GEC Project Management of Active FDOT D3 Design Projects
• Functional Manager overseeing GEC support of FDOT D3 Transportation Operations
• Prepare standard scope of services for design projects
• Prepare Long Range Estimates (LREs) for candidate projects
• Oversee development of conceptual designs for candidate Traffic Operations projects (turn lane additions, signalization, and traffic safety improvements)
• Provide Constructability Reviews for FDOT D3 on assigned projects
• Provide contract time calculations for assigned projects
• Coordinate Verification Testing assignments with subconsultants

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; required
• Professional Engineering License in Florida; required
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience working on projects for FDOT (can include PD&E, Planning, Design, CEI, Maintenance, etc…)
• Strong verbal and writing skills
• Comfort working independently
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel
• All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
