Job Responsibilities
- Monitoring, facilitating, and managing all inbound receiving appointment scheduling for Publix warehouses and manufacturing plants based on their individual physical and operational constraints to efficiently align carrier deliveries with our receiving capabilities.
- Receiving, processing, and confirming delivery appointments for all Publix receiving warehouses and manufacturing facilities using TMS, Publix Appointment Scheduling System (PASS), and Outlook.
- Optimizing Publix labor and maximizing dock utilization in our facilities.
- Managing appointments scheduled through our Transportation Management System (TMS) as well as manual scheduling methods.
- Responding timely and providing informative communication to Corporate Purchasing, Distribution facilities, carriers, and suppliers.
- Reviewing warehouse slot capacity to maintain the requested balance.
- Assisting Transportation Tracking Coordinators.

Minimum Qualifications
- At least one year of experience working in Distribution, Transportation, or an analytical field.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
- Ability to work extended periods.
- Successfully complete battery of Clerical & Microsoft Skills Tests before start date.
- Ability to handle change regularly and manage stressful situations professionally.
- Strong multitasking, teamwork, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, researching, time management, verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Industrial Operations safety rules, Publix Transportation Systems (TMS, HOST, PASS), Microsoft Office applications, Publix receiving schedules, the transportation industry, and U.S. geography.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Lakeland Distribution associate.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Transportation, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Three years of experience in Transportation.
