Job summary

Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Winston-Salem seeks a Transportation Aide to safely escort residents to appointments and events, assist with entering/exiting vehicles, and maintain logs. You will coordinate schedules, communicate with families and staff, and ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations. This on-site role supports resident mobility and continuity of care.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from physician appointments, therapy visits, community outings, and other scheduled activities.
• Confirm and coordinate residents' appointments and transportation schedules.
• Communicate transportation arrangements with families and facility staff as needed.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle while ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Inspect the vehicle before and after trips to ensure it is clean, fueled, and in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs and complete required documentation.
• Assist with clerical duties related to resident appointments, transfers, and discharges as needed.
• Follow all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
